As Northwest Indiana grows, we are constantly encroaching on the the land remaining to provide sustenance to our rich populations of native wildlife. The following pages are designed to be an information source on local wildlife commonly encountered in Northwest Indiana, and some suggestions on what you can do to ease the human/wildlife interaction. These pages also include several risks of handling/caring for local wildlife with information on what types of sickness/germs can be spread by certain animals.
